CMF to file charges against entities offering loans on their websites for alleged fraud
Claiming to be supervised by the Commission, these four entities request advance payments for loans that never materialize. They were reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
August 14, 2026 - The Financial Market Commission (CMF) alerts the public about a series of entities offering loans on their websites and apps.
According to information gathered by the CMF's Investigation Unit, these entities mislead individuals interested in obtaining loans by demanding advance payments as a precondition for disbursing the requested funds, which the victims ultimately do not receive.
Therefore, the CMF filed complaints before the Public Prosecutor's Office for alleged fraud against any parties responsible for the following entities:
- Xplorer VC S.A., an impersonator of Xplorer VC S.A. operating through the xplorercap dot com website.
- Intricahue, an impersonator of Inversiones Tricahue S.A. operating through the intricahue dot com website.
- An impersonator of Gestión Financiera Optimus S.A. operating through unidentified means.
- Cooperativas de Chile, an impersonator of Asociación Nacional de Cooperativas de Chile operating via WhatsApp.
- Préstamos Flexibles al Consumo LTD App, which is available on https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tkosafne.uazxcggse&hl=es_CL.
The CMF also reminds the public about the Citizen Alerts Page for investors, policyholders, and banking customers available on its website. Interested parties can verify here whether an entity or person offering financial products or services is supervised by the CMF; check alerts issued by the CMF and other foreign regulators on unregulated entities or activities; and other important advice for the protection of investors, policyholders, and financial clients.
