CMF releases Financial Inclusion Viewer, Statistical Report
The new publications will be updated every quarter and allow monitoring financial inclusion in Chile through indices related to access to, use of, and quality of financial products and services.
October 21, 2026 - The Financial Market Commission (CMF) released today its Financial Inclusion Indices Viewer and Financial Inclusion Statistical Report. These tools were developed as part of the CMF's Institutional Financial Inclusion Strategy and Market Development Agenda. Both tools facilitate following the evolution of financial inclusion in Chile and allow monitoring the progress of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (ENIF, for its Spanish acronym).
The Financial Inclusion Indices Viewer allows interested parties to peruse, through interactive graphics, the main indices, as well as analyze their evolution over time and among different population segments. Indices are organized around three dimensions - access to, use of, and quality - and include data disaggregated by gender, age group and other relevant variables according to data availability.
Meanwhile, the Financial Inclusion Statistical Report supplements the Viewer by consolidating the statistical series the indices are based on along with their methodological definitions, coverage, timeframes, and disaggregated instances. It also includes technical background information necessary to facilitate their use in studies, investigations and specialized assessments.
In tandem, both publications strengthen the availability of public, objective, and comparable evidence, which is a solid base to design, follow, and evaluate public policies. Likewise, they constitute a reference source for authorities, supervised entities, international organizations, academics, researchers, and other parties interested in analyzing the evolution of financial inclusion in Chile.
The CMF will perform quarterly updates of both the Financial Inclusion Indices Viewer and the Statistical Report, as well as gradually increase the set of indices and their disaggregations pursuant to availability, quality, and coverage of information sources.
Through these releases, the CMF strengthens the generation and availability of public data on the financial system, thus promoting a better understanding of how financial inclusion evolves and contributing evidence to develop a more accessible, efficient, competitive, and resilient financial market.
