CMF sanctions five banks for violating the Law on Family Abandonment and Payment of Alimony

July 03, 2026.- The Financial Market Commission (CMF) informs that its Board imposed fines on five banks for granting loans to individuals listed in the National Registry of Alimony Debtors, without complying with Law No. 14,908 on Family Abandonment and Payment of Alimony.

The sanctions applied are the following:

Banco Internacional, fine of UF 109.64. Resolution No. 6784.
Banco Itaú Chile, fine of UF 367.33. Resolution No. 6786.
Banco Ripley, fine of UF 208.81. Resolution No. 6787.
Banco del Estado de Chile, fine of UF 272.26. Resolution No. 6789.
Banco Falabella, fine of UF 329.17. Resolution No. 6790.
