October 13, 2025 - The Financial Market Commission (CMF) makes available to the public a new presentation of data on mutual fund investments in instruments, including statistical figures over time. It is part of the Commission's institutional modernization effort in statistical production and dissemination, which strives to facilitate statistical and economic analysis of disclosed figures and address the need for up-to-date, timely, and regular information.

For example, interested parties can review general background information on mutual funds, such as the number of managers, funds and participants, as well as total assets, equity, and investments under different classification criteria. This data is presented at the system level and in detail by general fund manager, with historical series available since January 1998.

The data is available on the Temporary Series Statistical Database (BEST, for its Spanish acronym) platform through the menu located on the left side of the screen. Select "Series" under the "Securities Market" section. The Reports section of the same website includes a compilation of the system's key figures published under the title "General Background of the Mutual Fund Industry."
