October 30, 2025 - The Financial Market Commission (CMF) announces that the public consultation for the regulatory proposal on fire insurance that condominiums must take out, and that also amends the regulation on insurance tenders for mortgage loans, is extended until November 13, 2025.

Given how important this issue is for both supervised entities and current and potential policyholders of this type of insurance, this extended public consultation intends to allow all interested parties to submit their comments and observations.

Interested parties can access the Regulations Under Consultation section of the CMF website to review the proposal and submit their comments. The Commission also makes available the corresponding Regulatory Report with its core elements and impact assessment.
