CMF reports on consulting tables process to implement Fintech Act

The Commission will hold an informative webinar on May 15 to reveal the content and organization of these consulting tables. They aim to receive feedback from interested parties and move forward with a public, transparent, and participatory regulatory development process.

May 9, 2023 - The Financial Market Commission (CMF) announces the start of its consulting tables for the development and implementation of regulations related to Law No. 21,521 on Promoting Financial Inclusion and Competition in the Provision of Financial Services, also known as the Fintech Act. These consulting tables aim to receive feedback from interested parties on the most relevant topics linked to the Fintech Act to move forward with a regulatory issuance process that is public, transparent, and participatory.

The Commission will hold an informative webinar on May 15 to reveal the content and information of its consulting tables. Interested parties can register for the event by using the form available on the CMF website. A separate form for registrations by date and topic for the consulting tables beginning on May 24 will be made available between May 15 and 19. These tables will discuss issues such as requirements to authorize services regulated by the Fintech Act; obligations to disclose information to the public; and standards on corporate governance and risk management.
