CMF opens call for public contest to implement, regulate and supervise the Fintech Act

This is pursuant to Law No. 21,521, which promotes competition and financial inclusion through innovation and technology in the provision of financial services.

The Financial Market Commission (CMF) opened today its call for a public contest to recruit 17 new officials who will work in the implementation, regulation, and supervision of the Fintech Act. This is pursuant to Law No. 21,521, which promotes competition and financial inclusion through innovation and technology in the provision of financial services.

Since last year, the CMF has worked to strengthen its internal capacities to issue approximately 70 regulations related to the Fintech Act in a timely manner, including their public consultations. It also adapted its supervisory framework to enroll and supervise Fintech companies and the Open Finance scheme.

Individuals selected through this public contest will be assigned to one of the following General Directorates:

  • General Directorate of Prudential Supervision.
  • General Directorate of Prudential Regulation.
  • General Legal Directorate.
  • General Directorate of Studies.
  • General Directorate of Information Technologies.
