December 15, 2025 - The Board of the Financial Market Commission (CMF) sanctioned Tanner Corredora de Seguros Limitada with a UF 150 fine for not having representatives with enough accredited knowledge of the insurance business to carry out its activities. The events took place between January 24 and May 2, 2025.
Applicable regulations (Decree with Force of Law No. 251, Supreme Decree No. 1,055, and Circular Letter No. 2,271) govern requirements to be met by insurance brokers to carry out their line of business, including accrediting enough knowledge of the insurance business.
The sanctioned conduct relates to proper compliance with the advisory duty incumbent upon insurance brokers to ensure that they provide a service tailored to policyholders' specific needs.
