CMF monitors and requires measures due to operational incidents at Banco Estado

The Financial Market Commission (CMF) is closely monitoring the operation of Banco Estado after the entity reported the detection of malicious software in its systems through the CMF's Operational Incident Reports (RIO) box.

Throughout the day, the Commission was in close contact with the bank's authorities and instructed that all necessary measures be taken to restore services affected by the malware as soon as possible.

The Commission states that it is acting in coordination with the country's economic authorities and that other banks and banking support companies have been informed so they adopt the relevant measures.

The Commission continues to monitor this incident and will take any measures it deems necessary to protect the information and security of users of the financial system.
